LIFT Aircraft Showcases HEXA at World Expo 2025

LIFT Aircraft made history today as HEXA completed a groundbreaking flight demonstration at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan. This historic flight took place at the specially designed "EXPO Vertiport" within the Smart Mobility Expo area, highlighting Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technology to a global audience.

The successful demonstration flight resulted from LIFT’s collaboration with Marubeni and Marubeni Aerospace. LIFT Aircraft Founder & CEO Matthew Chasen and Marubeni CSO Tomomichi Mizuno were both present to witness this milestone for their partnership.

In addition to thanking Marubeni during remarks in the opening ceremony, Chasen thanked “the Expo committee, Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, and JCAB for their vision in constructing this and other vertiports around Osaka – some of the first in the world – and for allowing us to demonstrate HEXA here at Expo.”

As part of the prestigious „Future Society Showcase Project Exhibition,“ this demonstration serves as a catalyst for public acceptance and understanding of eVTOL technology. Visitors to the World Expo are experiencing firsthand how personal air transportation will transform urban mobility in the coming years.

“We’re bringing the future of personal air transportation to life for Expo attendees,” said Chasen.

LIFT will conduct ongoing demonstration flights throughout the Expo event and is offering the unique opportunity for guests to experience piloting HEXA themselves through immersive, full-motion VR flight simulators. These experiences come just months before LIFT launches flight operations in Osaka this summer – bringing the future of flight directly to customers with the opportunity to train and pilot the aircraft themselves.

This is a significant advancement in establishing a global AAM ecosystem, with LIFT Aircraft at the forefront of bringing sustainable air mobility solutions to communities worldwide. The World Expo 2025 serves as the perfect platform to showcase how HEXA is making personal flight accessible to everyone.
